Summer Camp 2011—In Search of the Footprints of our Xinhai Sages
尋訪辛亥先賢足跡──港台青年學生夏令營 2011

Three students of our school took part in a summer camp to trace the footprints of our Xinhai Sages. During the camp, they visited Zhongshan (中山), Guangzhou (廣州), Wuhan (武漢), Nanjing (南京) and Beijing (北京).

During the whole journey, students followed the footsteps of our Xinhai Sages from Hong Kong to Beijing. They started their journey in Hong Kong where they visited the Hong Kong University and Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall (孫中山紀念館). Then they went to Zhongshan where they visited the Former Residence of Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall (孫中山故居紀念館). In Guangzhou, they visited the Marshal House (大元帥府) and 72 Martyrs Cemetery (七十二烈士陵園). After taking a four-hour bullet train ride, they reached Wuhan and visited the Xinhai Revolution Museum (辛亥革命博物館), Yellow Crane Tower (黃鶴樓) and Uprising Martyr Cemetery (首義烈士陵園). In Nanjing, they visited the Nanjing Massacre Memorial Hall (南京大屠殺遇難同胞紀念館). Students deeply felt the sadness of people at that time and how lucky they were living in a peaceful Hong Kong. The journey ended after the last three days in Beijing where they visited the Great Wall (長城), Sky City (航天城), and the National Museum of China (中國國家博物館).

The journey provided a good experience to students to share similar experience of our Xinhai Sages by tracing their footprints from Hong Kong to Beijing.
