Experienced educator, Mr Leung Ping Yan, Francis, Deputy Principal of Pui Kiu College visited our school on 2nd September, 2011. A school-based sharing on English Teaching was conducted with teachers from our English Department and 2 teachers from the School Improvement Team.

Mr Leung started with a highlight on the endeavour of school-based cross-curricular initiatives and the importance of an English-rich environment. Special focus has also been put on the teaching of NSS English Language, especially to enable our English teachers to have a better understanding of the assessment criteria, on how to offer feedback and mark students' samples. Mr Leung went further to share his experience as an examiner of HKALE and TSA. A comprehensive and deep analysis of the question types helped the audience getting a better understanding on how to support students and to stretch their potentials in public examination. All participants enjoyed the workshop and had a fruitful afternoon.
