On 22nd October, 2011, our Principal, Ms Agnes Tang was invited to be the Expert Vetting Panel for WI Cheung Scholarship 張永賢律師奮進獎學金. The Scholarship is organized by the Boys' & Girls' Clubs Association of Hong Kong which aims to (1) recognize the personal development of children and young people who have made remarkable progress or outstanding contributions in the areas of creativity, community service, or who have overcome adversities in life; (2) increase public awareness of children and youth development and promote the sustainability of work on children's development. There are 3 categories of the Scholarship: (1) Resilience 堅毅奮進; (2) Community Service 服務社群; (3) Creativity 創意思維. There were altogether over 200 entries. Thirty have been shortlisted for an interview by the Expert Vetting Panel. Then 15 outstanding young people were selected by the panel for the award of the Scholarship.
