26 Semi-finalists have been selected for the the ATV sponsored Hong Kong Loving Hearts Campaign 2011 (2011 感動香港年度人物評選). 10 winners will be adjudicated according to their contributions to Hong Kong society in their chosen professions or careers. Our students were invited to take part in the Student Sharing Session held at ATV on 29th October, 2011

Our students were deeply touched by the stories and the passion to serve the community of the semi-finalists of Hong Kong Loving Hearts Campaign 2011 (2011 感動香港年度人物評選). Among them, our students were particularly impressed and moved by No.9 Kwong Wah Hospital (the hospital runs by TWGHs, our School Sponsoring Body) and No. 7 Fr. Deignan.

1. No. 9 Kwong Wah Hospital --- Serving with Benevolence & Love

Founded by the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals in 1911, the Hospital provides a full range of services to the population of West Kowloon and Wong Tai Sin. Equipped with the most advanced technology, Kwong Wah Hospital is also a pioneer in Integrative Chinese and Western Medicine. The medical and health services of Tung Wah aim at providing western and Chinese medical services to the community – free of charge for the needy, as well as expanding services which fall out of the current public health system to cater to the specific needs of the community.

2. No. 7 Fr. Deignan, S.J.

Fr. Deignan was the former principal and supervisor of both Wah Yan Hong Kong and Wah Yan Kowloon and is now the Father Superior of the Society of Jesus in Hong Kong. He has been serving in H.K. for all his life since becoming a priest for over 50 years.
