The election of the Student Union was held on 14 November 2011. After months of preparations and promotion activities, the two cabinets 'Unique' and 'Glory' competed in this final round to determine who would be the president of the Student Union 2011-2012.

When the bell of the final period rang, the whole school was livened up. Supporters from different parties lined up in the entrance of the school hall waiting for their beloved electorates. They shouted aloud their slogans urging for the votes from their schoolmates.

In the hall, it was complete silence. Students collect their ballots from the registration counters. Then they made their choice and inserted their ballots in the election boxes.

When all students had completed their selection, it was the most exciting moment. Under the inspection of the Principal, teachers and representatives of the two cabinets, the vote-counting started. Supporters of the two parties were eagerly waiting outside the school hall for the results.

After all the votes had been counted and confirmed, the final result came. 'Unique' received 325 votes while 'Glory' received 288 votes. The winner was 'Unique', who just defeated his competitor by a narrow margin of 37 votes. There were 314 invalid votes, which meant that 300 students did not support either party.

The Principal congratulated the winning cabinets and the president of 'Unique' immediately thanked his team members for their support and the schoolmates who had voted for him. However, he realized that the invalid votes, together with the votes to his rival, meant that he was unable to win the support of the majority. He had to work hard to gain the trust and support of his fellow students.
