To foster closer home-school cooperation, a parents' day was held on 27th November 2011. Almost seven hundred parents and students came to school. The programme started with the Principal emphasizing the importance of parental support to a teenager's development. Then the Chairperson of PTA, Mr. Wong Chi-keung reported briefly on the activities and financial condition of the PTA.

Then parents were invited to meet the homeroom teachers of their children in the classroom. Homeroom teachers distributed the school reports to the parents telling them their children's academic performance, nonacademic performance and social development in school.

This year, the parent's day has new dimension added on. S6 and S7 parents were provided with information concerning the preparation of HKDSE and HKALE as well as further studies. Teachers explained to parents how they could help their children on the choice of universities and colleges and how they could show their support and concern to their children.

Teachers and parents exchanged views on how the students could be well educated with their mutual cooperation. It is especially a pleasure to meet parents to share with them the vision of the school and how best these students can benefit from and education at SCGMC. The meeting ended at 1:00 pm and parents left with satisfaction on the arrangement of school.
