The sixth form-based pastoral care activity was held on 13th December 2011. There were different activities for different Forms.
Form 1 students gathered in the school hall for a Trivia Quiz Competition on National Education. Representatives from different classes were challenged with tricky questions concerning China. The competition was keen and exciting.
Form 2 students stayed in the classroom for "Drug Education". School social workers had been invited to provide activities to the students. Through movies, discussions and sharing, students understood the harm of drug to teenagers and learned the way to avoid drug abuse.
The Careers Section of the school had arranged activities regarding subject selection for Form 3 students. Throughout the lesson, homeroom teachers provided information to students concerning the various subjects in the senior form and guide the students to make choices according to their ability and interest.
There was a civic education program for Form 4 students. After watching a movie, students discussed the value of "Faithfulness" and shared their ideas on how to deal with situations of bribery.
Form 6 students participated in an inter-class games competition in the playground. The competition was like a volley ball game. However, the most challenging part was that the ball was a plastic balloon filled with water. When they hit the ball or when the ball hit the ground, the balloon exploded and water splashed. The whole playground was then covered with screams, cheers and tears, which lasted for an hour. At the end, 6A won the battle with the cost that they all wet through.
There was a sex education program designed for Form 5 and 7 students. The topic was "Marriage and Couple Relationship". Students were first divided into groups and discussed different cases. They then shared their feelings on marriage and the ways to maintain a healthy couple relationship with their classmates.
