Our 27th Athletic Meet Heats and Final were held on 19th and 20th January 2012 respectively at Kwai Chung Sports Ground. The weather was fine and really good for doing exercise.

In the opening ceremony, our principal, Ms. Agnes TANG, inspired our students to perform at their best. After athlete representatives had taken the oath, the meet was declared open. A total of 620 athletes from four Houses did their best in all track and field events to strive for the overall championship. Besides competing on the sports ground, each house also delivered fascinating cheering performances for the inter-houses cheering competition.

The Guest of honour, Ms. Fay Ho Kim Fai, the Assistant Secretary General of the Hong Kong Schools Sports Federation, was the first gold medallist for Hong Kong in the 1993 East Asian Games (Rowing), Ms Ho shared with our students her story and encouraged them to build up their perseverance through sports training.

• The most exciting moment came when the final results were announced, with Frugality House being the Overall House Champion and Loyalty House winning the Cheering Trophy. The two-day Athletic Meet left an indelible memory in the minds of all participants and everyone was thankful for the efforts contributed by different parties as well as for the fine weather.
