第七次級本導育活動

To nurture the growth and development of and to cater for the diversified needs of S.C.Gaw students, the seventh form-based pastoral care activity was held on 8th, February, 2012.

With the help and guidance of homeroom teachers, S.1 students made their career plans. Through activities, students learned how to integrate their abilities, interests and attitudes when they considered their future.

There was a sex education period provided by the school social workers to S.2 students. Activities were held in the classroom and students learned how sexual identity affected their values and understood the importance of self-acceptance to the growth of teenagers.

S.3 students continued the subject selection program. Homeroom teachers explained to students in detail various subjects that they could choose in the coming academic year. Students understood the requirements of different subjects so that they could make better choices subject to their interests and abilities.

Moral and civic education activities were arranged for S.4 and S.5 students. Students read the story of a youngster who completed his wish on travelling through Asia and Europe through bicycle. It encouraged students to be strong and perseverant in achieving their goals and be brave enough to face challenges.

S.6 and S.7 students attended a talk concerning examination skills and employment traps. Teachers in the Career Section of the school introduced students how to prepare for the coming public examinations and the basic skills required. Then they shared with students various types of employment traps so that students could be alert and able to protect themselves against cheating and even criminal affairs.
