HKJC OLE Programme Launch Ceremony cum Community Service Day

On 18th February 2012, all S.4 students of Tung Wah schools attended the kick-off ceremony of the "HKJC OLE" Programme which was held in the Shatin Horse-racing field.

The two-years' programme, organized by the Hong Kong Jockey Club, offers students a wide range of OLE opportunities which encourage them to participate in the five areas of OLE, namely Moral and Civic Education, Community Service, Career-related Experiences, Aesthetic Development and Physical Development.

Through the programme, students can visit HKJC Public Riding School to understand the career path of a jockey and learn how to be responsible and respectful. They will also serve the community through providing services to the elderly and visit Cultural Centres to nurture the sense of Arts and Music.

The day was also a community service day. Students and workers of the HKLC prepared gift packs for the community visits in the afternoon. They joined together and challenged the Guinness Record preparing the world's largest "Blessing bag".
