Staff Development Workshop—Building an Excellent Team
教師發展活動──建立優良團隊
It is a new and exciting experience to people with normal vision when they are put in complete darkness. Teachers of S. C. Gaw had such an experience in their team building development program on 27th and 28th March 2012 at a "Dialogue in the Dark" Workshop & Experiential Journey.

Led by visually-impaired guides, our teachers entered the venue in groups. The sudden withdrawal of eyesight challenged everybody. With the help of the guide and cooperation of each and every one, team members finished the whole journey and completed the assigned tasks in complete darkness.

"In complete darkness, we rely very much on each other." A teacher said. "The sense of helplessness gives strong impetus to team members to provide their helping hands and to seek help without hesitation."

"To survive, we have to open our mind. We are nervous about what will happen to us so we walk step by step. We also worry about our team members and make sure that no one gets lost." Another teacher said.

The changes in society and tough competition in education is challenging for our teachers nowadays. To keep pace with the time and to nurture our future generation, we are endeavoured to build a high quality school that provides all-round education to our students. Even though we have the vision and strategies, uncertainty prevails. Most of us are still nervous about the future—what are the steps to be taken. To meet the adversities and sharpen our sae, it is the critical moment that the teaching team of S. C. Gaw opens our mind and walks step-by-step as well as hand-in-hand in order to achieve what we cherish for the education of the young. With team effort, it is believed that success will not be far away and all S. C. Gawers are outstanding students of SCGMC.
