School Joyful Fruit Day

A “balanced diet” is very important to our health. It provides us with all the necessary energy and nutrients for our growth. It helps to prevent a lot of illnesses including overweight, underweight, stomach troubles and anemia. It also reduces the risk of heart diseases, high blood pressure, diabetes and even cancer.

The “School Fruit Day” was held on 25th April 2012. It was to arouse the awareness of S.C.Gawers to eat more fruits and vegetables and to develop a good habit of balanced diet. During the day, school-lunchbox provider gave each student a banana during lunch time to remind students to take more fruits at lunch. Besides, there was a ”Fruit Day” online quiz competition. Tang Hoi Ming鄧愷明 (1B) and Cheung Hoi Yan張凱欣 (2D) became the prize winners.
