35 S.2 students visited the Legislative Council on 6th June, 2012. Students had already learned a lot about Legislative Council in Hong Kong from textbooks, photos and television news but it was their first time exposing themselves in the solemn building. During the visit, students were told the political history of Hong Kong and the role of Legislative Council in the present political system. Then they had the chance to visit the real meeting of Legislative Council members. There they were told how a bill was read, discussed and passed in the Council. Once again, they compared real life phenomena with what they had learned from the textbook.
