On Jun. 22, 2012, our First Cohort of NSS (S6) students held their Graduation Dinner at Harbour Plaza 8 Degrees. Our Principal, Vice-principal, S.6 Homeroom Teachers and Subject Teachers were invited. Students with splendid attire greeted the Principal and teachers at 7:00 pm. The dinner started when the Principal took this opportunity to encourage our S.6 graduates to think more positively and keep on improving themselves when ‘Change’ is inevitable, in whatever circumstances and time as well as for ourselves and all of us. In a metaphor of “a half-full glass of water”, she encouraged our students to pursue a more fulfilling life that can be rich and rewarding. She further reminded our students that the two “As” (Ability and Attitude) are 2 decisive as well as essential prerequisites to their successes in any of their future pursuits.

Students invited Principals and teachers to share the buffet dinner and take photos. The class photos taken at that day were made up of sweet memories of the past. There were no school boys and girls with school uniform but well-dressed ladies and gentlemen. The photos earmarked a mixed memory of tears, laughter, frustration and even disagreements for the past six years and the final conclusion today was that “Our students have grown up” which is indeed the most precious reward to the school and all the teachers. Being well-nurtured by the school, we were all proud of ourselves when we discovered that our small S.1 boys and girls six years ago have become now more mature and independent. Let’s wish all of our graduate glorious prospects and a brilliant future!
