A seminar concerning the masterpieces of Picasso, organized by the Paris National Picasso Museum of Art, was held on 4th July, 2012. Staff from the Museum introduced to the students the special features of Picasso’s works with an in-depth comparison with traditional Chinese paintings. Students learned the styles of paintings in Renaissance Times including the use of perspectives, the focus on human lives and the richness in colours.

The study of Picasso’s works extended to the afternoon. Students and teachers had the chance to visit the Museum so that they could take a look on the real masterpieces. Students verified what they had just learned in the morning assembly with the real paintings. This strengthened their understandings and enhanced their ability on appreciation of art works.
