To commend the outstanding academic performance and good conduct of students from TWGHs' schools, the Tung Wah Outstanding Students of 2012 have been selected and the Presentation Ceremony was held on 12th July, 2012. It was the honour to have Professor PAN Yonghua, Director General of the Education, Science and Technology Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the HKSAR, to be the officiating guest. There were altogether 83 prize-winners from kindergartens, primary schools and secondary schools. S.C.Gawers, Lai Wing Yan (5A) and Kwok Ka Fai (4A) were presented the "Tung Wah Students of the Year – the 3rd Runner-up" and "Tung Wah Students of the Year (ECA)" Awards respectively.

Besides students, two teachers from 2 of the Tung Wah kindergartens obtained "The Chief Executive's Award for Teaching Excellence". The Awards confirmed the efforts of Tung Wah education in nurturing all-round development of the younger generation.

The Ceremony means a lot to all students and teachers. The outstanding performance of students in all levels of education represents that the ethos of the TWGHs in providing all-round education to students are fully realized. On the other hand, teachers are encouraged to strive for excellence as their efforts will be rewarded for sure through the growth and success of the Tung Wah students.
