With the sponsorship of our School Donor cum Independent School Manager, Mrs Rossana Gaw, our school Latin Lance Team members were very much honoured to perform in the Lifeline Express “Time to Shine” Charity Night held at the Hong Kong Jockey Club Amphitheatre on Saturday,14 July 2012. Indeed, it was our greatest honour to have the gracious presence of our School Supervisor & 2nd Vice-Chairman of 2012 TW Board of Directors, Mr & Mrs Sze Wing Hang to the Show that night.
“Time to Shine” Charity Night was organized by Lifeline Express Hong Kong Foundation, a registered charitable organization in Hong Kong, to raise funds for the "Lifeline Express". The purpose of "Lifeline Express" is to build a hospital providing free eye operations for poverty-stricken cataract patients who reside in the remote areas of Mainland China. By the end of 2007, more than 75,000 patients have had their sight restored and led to a new life.
No one can understand how desperate to see again when you have a normal and healthy sight. It was great for our students to be a part of this wonderful Lifeline family where kind-hearted people came together to help making this world a beautiful place. The night was a gift of love and sharing.
This evening was enriched by various spectacular performances including singing, tango, hip hop and Latin Dance. All the performers were of professional standard who were delighted to display their best talents, share their boundless happiness and support charitable cause. Among them, our school Latin Dance Team members performed Latin and Ballroom Dance. The audience was amazed by the superior techniques and excellent musicality thus demonstrated by our Award-winning Team.
For the students, it was a precious chance to star on a professional stage and learn from those outstanding dancing teams. It encouraged them to go for their dreams and devote their efforts to such a worthy cause. May our Latin Dance Team thank Mr & Mrs Sze as well as Mrs Rossana Gaw for their patronage and support ever since the establishment of our team in September 2011.
