Student Exchange Programme in Beijing
京港同心學生交流團 2012
Three S.C.Gaw students signed up for the study tour to Beijing organized by International Youth Cultural Exchange Association (HK) from 25th to 31st July, 2012. During the journey, students sensed the daily life of people living in Beijing through visiting Beijing Hutong (北京胡同), Wangfujing Street (王府井步行街), Silk Street (秀水街) and Beijing Urban Planning Museum (北京城市規劃館). They also learnt the historical aspects of China through visiting historical sites including Great Wall (萬里長城), Forbidden City (故宮), Tiananmen Square (天安門廣場), Marco Polo Bridge (蘆溝橋), Museum of the War of Chinese People's Resistance Against Japanese Aggression (中國人民抗日戰爭紀念館), Bird's Nest (鳥巢) and Water Cube (水立方). To understand the economic aspects of Mainland China more deeply, students visited Beijing Hyundai Motor Factory (北京現代汽車廠) and Cultural Industry Street (文化產業街) as well.
Throughout the trip, S.C.Gawers were accompanied by University students of Beijing. They shared their studying experience and exchanged ideas on social, economic and cultural disparity between people of the two cities. It is absolutely an unforgettable experience for both students of Hong Kong and Beijing.
