After School Great English Movie – A Kick-off to our whole-school English Enhancement Endeavor
課後英語大電影 - 啟動全校全方位英語提升活勳

To get our students prepared for the challenges of turning our school to become an EMI school, a new school-based English curriculum called Life-wide English has been launched lately. One of the major activities of Life-wide English is After-school Great English Movie Session. Students from S.1 to S.5 are given chances of learning English excitedly though watching English movies. The first movie they watched was a spectacular and hilarious science fiction movie called Monsters v.s. Aliens. Apart from watching this movie, students were encouraged to learn some vocabulary items from the movie and asked to complete a movie worksheet. Our principal, Miss Tang delivered a stunning opening speech to our students. She has given students the greatest gratitude and support for their enthusiastic participation. Furthermore, many students gave teachers some valuable feedback to the activity passionately. Some comments offered by our students are as follows:

"I like the movie very much. It is because the movie is funny. I think Insectosaurs is the strongest monster in the move because it is very tall and big. It was cute too. "

“I like the movie very much. It is because I love to read something about aliens or Science fiction books. The movie is very interesting. I think Ginormica is the strongest because her size and strength are huge and she is able to fight with the aliens fiercely.”
Ko Hoi Ching

“I am able to listen to that English movie as the language used is very simple. The movie made me laugh too. I think Mr. Cockroach is the strongest. Even though he is the smallest monster, he looks very courageous. He can get into the robot’s body and destroy it with his fabulous power. He is also a crafty inventor who can make many amazing things in the movie.”
