The Inauguration Ceremony of School Prefect and Student Union

The School Prefect and Student Union Inauguration Ceremony were held in the assembly period on 16th October, 2012. The ceremony began with an opening address by our School Principal, Ms Tang Wai Chun, Agne. She expressed her congratulations to the new Prefects and Student Union and hopes all of them are capable of demonstrating essential attributes of a good student leader who possesses positive values, sound social, national & global perspectives, a good sense of responsibility and enthusiasm to serve others. She believes that all our student leaders are competent to lead fellow schoolmates to enjoy and treasure every moment during their secondary school life.
After the short opening address, the badge presentation for the House Captains, House Committee members, 7 Departments’ Head Prefects, Vice Head Prefects and Prefects began. The 7 major departments are:
a) Board of Studies
b) Extra-curricular Activities
c) Guidance & Education Needs
d) Careers & Guidance
e) Information Technology
f) Life, Moral, Civic & National Education
g) Discipline & Life Skills Training
All of the student leaders will serve our school in different specific areas which are good training platforms for them to explore their leadership and their other potential.
After presenting the badges to the prefects, the 2010-2011 former Chairperson of the Student Union presented his vote of thanks to the students for their support. Then the new Chairperson, the Vice-chairperson and the executive committee members received badges from the Principal. The new Chairperson then expressed his gratitude to the students and promised to fulfill the pledge she had solemnly made during the election.
