The 'Youth Difference Makers Award' organized by The Hong Kong Spinal Cord Injury Fund and co-organized by The Direction Association for the Handicapped and Hong Kong International Institute of Educational Leadership with the support of Equal Opportunities Commission, Hong Kong Girl Guides Association and Scout Association of Hong Kong. The Award encouraged youngsters to become a "Difference Maker" in enhancing the lives of others and to live a more meaningful and fulfilling life.

On 26 April 2012, our F.6 student, Jong Ming Yan 莊明欣同學 was selected as one of the 10 Final Awardees of the '2012 Youth Difference Makers Award' (YDMA) （十大《2012青少年動感人•人感動大獎》大獎得主）. Ming Yan, as one of the 10 Grand Prize Awardees, was invited to attend the "Youth Difference Makers Award – Educational Trip to Rutger's University" from 18th to 24th July, 2012.

On 10 December 2012, Ming Yan was again invited by Hong Kong International Institute of Educational Leadership to have a sharing on her experience as one of the 10 Grand Awardees of the Youth Difference Makers Award 2012 and her educational trip to the states last summer.
