There were two sessions in the Assembly on Day 7 on 13 December. To foster the talents of students by providing them with the opportunity to gain experience through performing on stage in front of hundreds of audiences and to appreciate poetry in school, the first session was carried out by 9 students who participated in this year’s Hong Kong Speech Festival. Each of them took turn to recite their poems and prose on the stage and the sequence of the performance was English Solo, Putonghua Solo and Cantonese Solo Verse Speaking respectively.
The second session aimed to inspire and encourage the audiences through constructive comments and experiences from our outstanding students. The first speaker was Chu Chek Yin (2C) who shared with us her learning experience from the visit to different museums in the last summer.
At the end, the assembly was concluded by our “Difference Maker Award” winner, Jong Ming Yan (6B). She talked about her eye-opening experience in the visit of the Spinal Cord Injury Institutions in America.
