In order to disseminate the messages on Health to the community, the school arranged a ‘Health Information Day’ on 25th February, 2013. Meaningful and creative game booths for ‘Smoke-free Community’, ‘Road Safety’ and ‘Nutrition Labeling and Happy Fresh Fruit’ were successfully run by our students.

The ‘Smoke-free Community’ activity sponsored by Po Leung Kuk and supported by the Tobacco Control Office of the Department of Health raises people’s awareness of the harmful impact of smoking on public health and establishes a smoke-free community. Students designed a total of 10 game booths for their fellow schoolmates and the community.

The ‘Road safety’ game booth was provided by the Police Traffic Unit. The participants could choose to shoot the targets with the help of an electronic gun. As a result, they could have a comprehensive understanding of how road safety rules work in the community.

The Nutrition Labeling and Happy Fresh Fruit stall games aim to increase the participants’ understanding of the benefits of healthy fresh fruit and encourage people to eat more fruit and keep healthy.

The event was so enjoyable that there were more than a thousand people visiting the booths. Under the influence of a convivial atmosphere, everyone benefited from receiving the constructive messages about Health.
