Outstanding Student Attainment Awards Ceremony

The Outstanding Student Attainment Awards Ceremony for the First School Term was held on 4th March 2013. During the First School Term of the current academic year, students have participated in a lot of local and international competitions and achieved brilliant results. Today was the time we recognized the efforts of S.C.Gawers and shared their accomplishments. We take the pride in their glorious achievements.

It is indeed our honour to have the presence of Mr. SZE Wing-hang, our School Supervisor and the 2nd Vice-Chairman of 2012/13 TWGHs Board of Directors, Mrs Rossana Gaw and Ms Christina Gaw, our School Donor and Independent School Manager, Mr Tse Kwok Wai, PTA Chairman cum Parent Manager, Mr Siu Chiu-kin, Alumni Manager and Mr. Wu Kee-huen, Kenneth, Education Services Secretary of TWGHs.

The welcoming speech was presented by Mr. Sze. He appreciated the great improvement of students in a good range of areas and congratulated the awardees on their outstanding achievements. Then it is our honour to have our honouable guests to present the prizes to our outstanding students. Prizes including School Award, Leadership, Gifted Education, Social Services & Uniform Groups, Music, Art, Sports, Dance Sport, Chinese Dance and Scholarship were presented. These prizes are vivid proof that our students are versatile and they work with perseverance and stamina in their pursuit and they have the courage to face all challenges ahead. There were resounding applauses by which all the audience showed their congratulations to and shared the joy with the awardees.

There was a sharing session after the prize presentation. Our student leader, Lam Sze-han and alumnus Mr. Ho Yip-shing, Jason shared their successful experience with us. Then, there were students’ performances including Chinese Martial Arts and Latin Dance. The ceremony ended with a movie show that summarized the activities of First Term of 2012/13 at S.C.Gaw. Sweet memories of students’ outstanding achievements linger on and we are looking forward to an even more fruitful as well as rewarding Second Term 2012/13 for the students of SCGMC!
