Staff Professional Development Workshop by a renowned educator, Dr Sister May May Wong
資深教育工作者王美美博士主持教師專業發展工作坊
It was our honour to have a renowned educator, Dr Sister May May Wong to have a talk to all our staff on 26th March 2013 – our Staff Development Day. Dr Sister Wong shared with us her experience of education from primary schools to the university and reminded us the changes in the education environment and behaviour of students. Such changes require teachers today to equip themselves and to be patient and creative.
Be a professional, teachers need to behave themselves and set up a good model for our students. She further highlighted that the ultimate requirement of a professional teacher is to “respect our students”. She then shared with us three movies concerning how teachers encourage and push their students. We were all deeply touched by the dedication of the teachers in the movies and they inspired us that our continuous encouragement to students can be rewarding no matter on the results of students or on their growth.
