To arouse the interest, ability and level of students in Mathematics, S.C.Gaw students are encouraged to participate in various Mathematics Competitions. The performances of students are encouraging.
3A Wong Chun Yip 黃振業 obtained Third-class Honour (個人三等獎) in Hong Kong Young Mathematics High Achievers Selection Contest 2012-13 (香港少年數學精英選拔賽).
1A Chiu Man Wai 趙文偉 , Tam Ho Wah 譚皓鏵 and Choi Chung Kit 蔡宗杰 achieved Bronze Honours (銅獎) in 2013 Hua Xia Cup Mathematics Olympiad Contest (2013 華夏杯).
1A Yung Hong Tin 翁匡田, 1B Luen Chun Pang 倫振鵬, 1C Chan Ho 陳昊, 2A Lam Tsz Hei 林梓熙, 2D Mok Ka Ho 莫嘉豪, 3A Wong Chun Yip 黃振業 and 3B Fung Wing Fai 馮永暉 were all awarded Bronze Honours (銅獎) in 2013 Hong Kong and Macau Mathematics Olympiad Open Contest (2013 港澳數學奧林匹克公開賽).
