"Prefects’ Mainland Exchange Programs” was organized by the Education Bureau. The purpose is to allow students to broaden their horizons and enhance students’ leadership skills and understanding of national conditions and national development. Activities include Leadership Training Day Camp, Study and Exchange Activities in Beijing. Our student Wu Sin Ting (5C) was selected as one of the members who got the opportunity to visit Beijing from 28th March to 1st April.

During the four days, she visited secondary schools and universities in Beijing, enterprises from Hong Kong and social service agencies. She attended seminars presented by mainland experts and scholars and exchanged ideas with local students. Moreover, she could visit a lot of historical and cultural attractions there.

The trip was inspiring. Sin-ting learned a lot concerning the recent developments in the Mainland China. These arouse her concern about the motherland and increase her sense of belongings as a Chinese citizen.
