Supported by the Hong Kong Education Bureau and sponsored by the City University of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Young Writers Awards is an annual competition for young writers to showcase their talents and creativity in writing. The theme for 2013 is “NEW TALES OF THE GREAT WALL”. This year, 156 schools joined the competition and 793 entries were submitted. Among all the submissions, awards were given to the outstanding pieces in each category.

The short story “A New Tale of the Great Wall” written by 3A Chou Ka Ying was appreciated by the panel of judges and it was selected as one of the short-listed entries in FICTION Group 3. Congratulations to Ka Ying!
