A team of Tung Wah teaching staff including our principal, Ms. Agnes Tang, Vice-principal, Mr. Tam and assistant principal, Ms. Wong visited Si Yuan School in Guangzhou on 18th April, 2013. Si Yuan advocates self-regulated learning and reform efforts are being implemented to promote self-regulated learning at the school level. The team was impressed by Si Yuen students' high level of learning motivation and their participation in class activities. In their classrooms, students actively take the role of instructors whilst the teacher serves as a facilitator and makes use of the time to set tasks and summarize learning outcomes. The team was also given an opportunity to chat with Si Yuan's students and teachers in order to learn more about their learning practices and class routine.
