The Department of Guidance and Parent-Teacher Association of our school organized a talk to parents on 1st June, 2013 concerning ‘Internet Addiction’ and ‘Examination Pressure’.

Ms Tsui from the Hong Kong Federations of Youth Groups was invited to deliver a talk concerning ‘Internet Addiction’. She introduced to parents the definition of ‘Internet Addiction’ and the reasons why teenagers enjoy playing online games. Parents were told the proper communication techniques required to handle the situation.

Then our school educational psychologist Ms Wong distributed a questionnaire to the parents to review the executive skills of the children. She told parents the tactics to improve the skills for better examination results and the ways to reduce examination pressure of their children.

Parents were invited to ask questions in the Q & A session. The parents reflected that the techniques were appropriate and practical and were very satisfied about the talk.
