On 5 July 2013, teachers of S.C.Gaw participated in a talk organized by Mr. Archie McGlynn, the director of Hong Kong Schools Self-Evaluation Network. Mr. Archie sparked discussion over teachers’ concerns when using English as EMI in their subject teaching. Mr. Archie showed our teachers how English-Medium teaching and learning can facilitate students’ English development and growth. Also, he introduced teachers what methods can be adopted when students come across any difficult vocabulary items. In order o maximize students’ learning outcomes, he emphasized the importance of collaboration between teachers and students.
