The 30th Anniversary Celebration Outstanding Student Attainment Awards Ceremony 2013/2014
三十周年傑出學生成就頒獎典禮

To recognize the outstanding attainment of S. C. Gawers in the First Term of 2013-2014 and to celebrate the commencement of our 30th Anniversary, an Outstanding Student Attainment Awards Ceremony for the First School Term was held on 10th March 2014. It is indeed our honour to have the presence of Our School Supervisor and the 1st Vice-Chairman of 2013/14 TWGHs Board of Directors, Mr. Sze Wing-hang, Ivan, Vice-chairman of Kwai Tsing District Board Mr Law King-shing, MH, Member of Legislative Council, Kwai Tsing District Councilor and Hon. Mak Mei-kuen, Alice, JP, Kwai Tsing District Councilors Ms Tam Wai-chun, MH, Mr Lee Chi-keung, MH, Mr Wong Yiu-chung, MH, Mr Tang Shui-wah and Mr Chan Siu-man, PTA Chairman Mr Tse Kwok-wai, PTA Vice-chairman Ms Tsang Shanna and the representatives of TW Education Services Section.

The opening speech was delivered by the Supervisor, Mr. Sze who confirmed the greatest importance and achievements of our Principal, Ms Tang to enhance the standard of our students in all perspectives, and appreciated the efforts and sacrifices of our teachers to enhance the capability and compentence of our students. He is sure that our school will be improving and continues to nurture hundreds of thousands of outstanding students in future.

After that, Mr. Sze and our honorable guests started presenting the School Awards, Scholarships and Prizes in Leadership, Gifted Education, Social Services and Uniform Groups, Visual arts, Music, Sports, Dance sports, Chinese & Western Dance, and Gymnastics and all of which have demonstrated how versatile our students have been — with stamina and perseverance in their pursuit for success and excellence, and the courage to face all challenges ahead. Resounding and resonance applause filled up the atomsphere in which the awardees took pride in what they have achieved while parents and guests in rejoicing their extraordinary successes.

After the prize presentation, there came a video show ‘A Re-collection of School Life of First Term of 2013/14 at S. C. Gaw’ followed by a forum in which Vice Chairman of Kwai Tsing District Council, Mr Law King-shing, MH met with our students (little councilors) discussing the “Challenges and Opportunities of Kwai Tsing District”. Finally, the whole ceremony reached its climax with the performances of students including Rope Skipping, Chinese Martial Arts and Latin Dance.

Sweet memories of student outstanding achievements linger on and we are looking forward to an even more fruitful as well as rewarding Second Term 2013/14 for the students of SCGMC!
