Joint-School HKDSE Oral Practice
聯校文憑試口試練習

About 100 students and 18 teachers from three schools, TWGHs S. C. Gaw Memorial College, Carmel Alison Lam Foundation Secondary School and Queen's College Old Boys' Association Secondary School, participated in the 2016 Joint-school English Oral Practice on 1st February, 2016 at TWGHs S C Gaw Memorial College. The activity was co-organized by the Student Union and the English Department of S. C Gaw Memorial College. The purpose of the event was to provide students with targeted practice of the two components of the HKDSE Paper Four Examination: the group discussion and the individual response. Participating students completed two rounds of the two components and teachers’ feedback was given after each round.

The oral practice was a fruitful learning experience for both teachers and students in preparing for the HKDSE Examination. Participating students showed their appreciation of the opportunities to speak English in front of strangers and receive valuable advice from different teachers. They agreed that the event has helped them polish their English speaking skills and better equipped them for the coming public examination in late April.
