The Outstanding Student Attainment Awards Ceremony 2015-2016 was held on 7 March 2016. During the First School Term of the current academic year, students have participated in a lot of local and international competitions and achieved brilliant results. Today was the time we recognized the efforts of S.C.Gawers and shared their accomplishments. We take the pride in their glorious achievements.

It is indeed our honour to have Dr. Alan Lam Hiu Fung, Hong Kong Ten Outstanding Young Persons 2015 (Category: Commerce & Industry) as our officiating guest and the presence of Mr. Sunny Tan, our School Supervisor, 4th Vice-Chairman, 2015/16 TWGHs Board of Directors, Mr Tse Kwok Wai, PTA Chairman cum Parent Manager, Ms Susanna Tsang, PTA Vice-Chairman cum Parent Manager, our Alumni Amy Lam and parents.

The welcoming speech was presented by Mr. Tan. He appreciated the great support of schools to the Life Planning of students and congratulated the awardees on their outstanding achievements. Then Dr. Alan Lam delivered his officiating speech in which he shared with us his experiences and encouraged our students to be brave and perseverance in fighting with difficulties in life.

Then our honorable guests presented the prizes to our outstanding students. Prizes including International Awards, School Awards, Leadership, Gifted Education, Social Service & Uniform Groups, Visual Arts, Sports, Dance Sports, Rhythmic Gymnastic, Scholarship & Alumni with Prizes were presented. These prizes are the vivid proof that our students are versatile and they work with perseverance and stamina in their pursuit and they have the courage to face all challenges ahead. There were resounding applauses by which all the audience showed their congratulations to and shared the joy with the awardees.

After that, there were performances of students including public speaking presentation by 5A Chong Lai Ching and Kong Cheuk Ying, Chinese dance and martial arts performance.

Even though the ceremony ended, sweet memories of students’ outstanding achievements linger on and we are looking forward to an even more fruitful as well as rewarding Second Term 2015/16 for the students of SCGMC!
