Two scarlet fever cases complicated with toxic shock syndrome were recorded on 19 January 2012, involving one death. According to the Centre for Health Protection, Department of Health, more scarlet fever cases are expected in the coming few months. Our school has stepped up precautionary measures against the disease. Classrooms and communal areas are cleaned more frequently and members of our staff maintain good health and personal hygiene.
