It is happy to announce that our F.5 student, Jong Ming Yan 中五級莊明欣同學 has been selected as one of the 10 Final Awardees of the '2012 Youth Difference Makers Award' (YDMA) (十大《2012青少年動感人•人感動大獎》大獎得主)
Also, our F.4 student, To Ching中四級杜靜同學 and F.5 student, Lau Kin Yu 中五級劉健宇同學 have also been selected as among the 20 Finalists in the Final Selection by the High Level Judges on 29th March, 2012. Chong Ming Yan—Awardee of the '2012 Youth Difference Makers Award' (YDMA)
莊明欣同學──十大《2012青少年動感人•人感動大獎》大獎得主
Jong Ming Yan 莊明欣同學 [個人計劃報告] Mission: To show concern for young children and old people. To train and encourage other youngsters in doing voluntary work. Actions: Taught kids to write messages and perform for those living in the old people's home. Visited old people's home with the kids. They sang and played games with the old people. Visited old people living in two public estates in Tsing Yi. Cleaned up their homes. Measured their blood pressures. Explained to them that doctors could provide further checkup if needed. Other repairs on their homes could also be provided if needed. Impacts: Kids became more sociable and confident. Kids' help was appreciated. Learnt to love those around her more. Had to show more concern for the old people. Future: Will Share the experiences with her friends. Encourage youngsters to take part in voluntary work and help other kids and old people. 莊明欣同學用行動去實踐「感動人•人感動」的精神,她透過成為義工,把歡樂及關懷的信息傳遞給區內長者及幼兒。又給其他青少年提供義工訓練,鼓勵他們積極參與義工服務,把「感動人•人感動」的精神傳揚開去。 透過這次社區服務,莊明欣同學有機會接觸到社區上的弱勢社群,以了解他們真正需要。就如沒有出席「感動人•人感動」的活動,就不會知道各位勇士的經歷,不知道他們的心路歷程,更不知道他們有如此強大的力量去克服困難,不單有能力改變自己,更可改變他人。莊同學接觸過弱勢的幼童、獨居的長者,才明白到他們是不稀罕別人的同情、憐憫,他們要的是活?的尊嚴、社會的關?和愛。她被幼兒的童真稚嫩所感動,被他們可愛天真的笑容融化。她又明白到獨居長者的孤獨原來是來自被社會的遺忘,於是她要給長者感受到義工們對他們的愛。凡此種種,都是人與人之間的互動,有了互動,才能交心,才能互相影響。為了有更多人互動,莊同學幫助訓練比她年少的同學參與義工服務,幫助社會上的幼弱社群,讓更多人共同實踐「感動人•人感動」的精神。 |

杜靜同學及劉健宇同學──《2012青少年動感人•人感動大獎》嘉許獎狀
To Ching 杜靜同學 [個人計劃報告] Mission: To Help students from P1 and P2 with their homework. Actions: Participant tutored P1 and P2 students when she was in Form 4. Ten sessions were held in four months. Impacts: She has become a more patient person after these sessions and gained a lot herself from helping people. She really treasured those good times she had with the young students. 杜靜同學認為感動人的力量是來自「心」。用心聆聽別人的需要,別人才願意向你傾訴;用心做好每件事,別人才會放心把工作交給你去辦。杜靜同學本著幫助幼小的心,盡心輔導學習能力稍遜的小學生,解決功課上的困難。經過了一段時間的相處,杜同學發現受助的小學生不單功課上有問題,原來他們與人相處、個人情緒都有問題,於是杜靜同學不但只是功課輔導員,更是他們的情緒輔導員、調解員和生活指導員。為什麼會「變了質」?全因一個「心」字,因為教導一個人是全面的,他們要學習的是做人,而非只學知識。 小學生的年紀小,部分人又不懂待人接物的正確態度,爭執便常因此而起,後經杜靜同學的勸解、教導後,他們已學懂了尊重他人,吵架的情況已大大減少,大家相處也非常融洽。可見杜靜同學以熱誠、以真心打動了他們。 其實助人者亦是受助者,因為杜靜同學表示自己從活動中也獲益良多,她以前對人較缺乏耐性,現在對著那些小學生竟可生出無限的耐性,而且明白了為師之難,為人父母之憂,從此對老師、父母更加幾分敬意。 杜靜在這個活動中,用「心」感動了一班小學生,令他們功課、言行有所改善;她又用心去體會老師的工作,用心去體諒父母的苦心,感受到自己的幸福,知所感恩,這是她最大的得著。

Lau Kin Yu 劉健宇同學 [個人計劃報告] The project aims to boost personal courage and develop perseverance as a student leader in a secondary school through taking up different service leadership positions at the personal level, school level and as a Boy Scout. He participated in Dinghy Sailing and Canoeing and has managed to get the Certificate and the Fourth Position in each respectively. He also served the school as Head Boy and has managed to lead and learn with his fellow Student Union Committee members. As Boy Scout, he has managed to get the Chief Commander's Badge upon completion of a series of tough and challenging outdoor activities. He expressed that he will continue to pursue his goals and ideals as he has learned that commitment will make a difference. He will share his learning experiences with his fellow schoolmates and will encourage them to do likewise. He hopes that more will make a difference in oneself and in the lives of others. 劉健宇同學去年出席了假沙田馬場舉辦的「動感人•人感動」的活動後,深受感動,於是立志要向勇士學習。他首先為自己定立目標,然後戒除做事欠缺恆心的陋習,逐步向所定的目標邁進,他決定要達到三個目標: 第一個目標是重拾以往的興趣──風帆。暑假期間,他參加了風帆訓練,並從中培養到獨立處事的能力,更獲得香港帆船協會頒發高級証書。他又學習獨木舟水球運動,更挑戰自己,參加了比賽,從中體會到團結的重要性,啟發到他做事要有恆心,永不言敗的精神。 第二個目標是成為學生會會長。因「動感人•人感動」中的勇士的啟發,讓他明白「只要有夢想,凡事皆可能」的道理,於是他以去屆學生會副會長的經驗及一腔熱誠,參選今屆的學生會選舉,他就以堅定的意志,排除萬難,終於獲得同學的信賴,當選為學生會會長。 第三個目標是在童軍活動方面,他在希望在今年完成整個總領袖獎章,最終也達成了他的目標。 以上幾方面的成就,除了憑他個人的意志,更需要有他的家人、同學、朋友的支持及鼓勵,當然不可或缺的是各位「勇士」對他的啟發。劉健宇同學就是受到感動,才作出改變,才有勇氣繼續向前。他明白到人對人感染的力量,於是也希望與別人分享自己的故事,向同學推介以上的活動,讓他們也可培養出堅毅不屈的精神,為自己的理想而奮鬥。 |
